When fashion shrinks its size range, the gap shows up at the rack
Shrinking size ranges can affect access and choice even when a retailer's explanation is not the whole industry story.

Some mainstream fashion brands are offering fewer of their largest sizes, narrowing the choices available in stores and online for people who wear them.
The shift is not uniform. Some retailers are cutting extended-size inventory while others are adding it, and demand for larger clothing remains active in resale markets.
GLP-1 medicines have become part of the industry's conversation about changing body sizes, but they do not erase the need for inclusive sizing. The cultural question is who gets treated as a full customer when a market recalibrates.
